Hi, I’m William Shepherd, a passionate software developer based in Mumbai. Originally from Bhusawal and raised in Aurangabad, I hold a degree in Computer Science from MIT Aurangabad, graduating in 2021. With over three years of experience in software development, particularly in React and React Native, I've had the opportunity to work with companies like Accenture, GrowthPal, and most recently, CometChat. I thrive on learning new technologies and expanding my development skills.

Beyond coding, I'm a dedicated musician. I play multiple instruments, including drums, guitar, bass guitar, cajon, conga, and tabla. I have achieved Madhyama Purana in tabla and aspire to complete my Visharadh in the future. I was part of a band called The Unknowns, formed with my school friends, and we released a single on Spotify. Currently, I'm focusing on writing and composing my own music. Additionally, I serve as a gospel worship leader at my church, AFC.

I also enjoy blogging about music, sharing my journey, and documenting my experiences. Creativity is at the core of who I am, and I love capturing moments that tell my story.

Sports

I've always been passionate about sports, and one of my strengths is versatility—I can play a wide range of sports quite well. I wouldn’t call myself a professional, but I’ve got a solid grasp and can keep up in just about any game. This year, I took on a personal challenge to learn swimming, focusing on freestyle, breaststroke, and backstroke. After months of practice, I’m proud to say I can now swim 120 meters in a single stretch, marking a new personal record.

Next year, I’m setting my sights on learning the butterfly stroke and mastering diving, aiming to push my skills even further. Beyond swimming, I enjoy and actively play football, cricket, table tennis, basketball, badminton, and squash. For me, sports are more than just physical activity—they’re a way to stay disciplined, set goals, and constantly improve

Since childhood, I’ve had a deep passion for collecting coins and currency. What began with a few coins from different countries has grown into a collection that spans eras and regions. My collection includes old Indian coins, from the British Indian period to Independent India, along with coins from various mints, commemorative editions, and even unique coins featuring different kings. Alongside coins, I also collect currency notes from around the world, including rare old notes and ones with iconic serial numbers.

In addition to coins and currency, I’m drawn to antique items, appreciating the stories they hold from the past. Recently, I’ve added a new passion to the mix—collecting HotWheels cars, capturing a touch of nostalgia and fun. Each piece in my collection tells a story and is a reminder of my journey through the years
